How Meet and Greet Airport Service Works
With meet and greet airport service, the reservation includes a specific arrival plan rather than only a curb location. The greeter may wait near baggage claim, beyond customs or at another public meeting point permitted by the airport. The exact spot should be confirmed before travel.
This service is useful when the passenger is unfamiliar with the airport, travelling for business, carrying multiple bags, being picked up on behalf of a company, or simply wants a direct personal handoff after landing.
What meet and greet does not automatically include
Do not assume that a ground transportation greeter can meet at the aircraft gate, escort a passenger through controlled customs areas or provide airline mobility services. Airport security rules and airline responsibilities limit access. If a traveller needs wheelchair, gate or special-assistance support, arrange that through the airline or airport as required.
Airport Meet and Greet vs. Curbside Pickup
Airport meet and greet trades some simplicity and often additional cost for a clearer passenger handoff. Curbside pickup can be faster for experienced travellers who know the terminal, have a working phone and can reach the designated commercial loading area independently.
Before choosing, ask: Where exactly will the greeter stand? What name will be displayed? When does waiting time begin? Who pays parking or meet-and-greet fees? How do we connect if the passenger has no cellular service?
Arranging meet and greet for another person
Provide the passenger's mobile number and the organizer's contact. Send the passenger a screenshot or copy of the meeting instructions before takeoff. If language or accessibility support is needed, state that explicitly rather than assuming the chauffeur can provide specialized assistance.
